Heartfelt Dreams Foundation co-founder, Lori Ankerud, is an artist and a quilter. Quilting continues to be a meaningful form of expressive art. Quilt to Care is a compassionate program established in recognition that quilt-making honors the past, embraces the present, and guides the future. Our quilts and blankets are intended to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to the children and adults living with congenital heart defects.

Heartfelt Dreams Foundation welcomes the support of individuals like you, quilt guilds across the country, and quilt stores both big and small as we seek donations of quilts of all types and sizes to further our Quilt to Care cause. A sampling of our quilts is shown for your enjoyment.

The first Quilt to Care donation was a baby quilt hand-made by Lori Ankerud for a four month old boy born in 2018 with a congenital heart defect. A quilter leaves a part of themselves in every quilt they make. We will strive to distribute quilts to as many congenital heart defect children and adults as is possible and hope that our quilts will provide visual, physical, and spiritual warmth to these people.
