Knowing first-hand the challenges facing families with children born with congenital heart defects, young adults seeking knowledgeable care, and older adults struggling with a life-long condition, we are striving to be able to offer support in several forms.
How We Help
Emotional Support and Counseling
We are available to answer questions, to be a voice of support, to share our experiences and to talk about yours. We have partnered with medical professionals and caregivers at specialty heart centers across the country and can provide referral information. We also offer professional mental counseling support. Financial Assistance
Heartfelt Dreams Foundation is poised to provide heartwarming monetary support to congenital heart defect patients and their families. Financial assistance is currently limited include transportation and accommodations for CHD requiring critical surgery. We are also financially supporting cardiac nurses through scholarships and medical education programs. Education
About 25% of babies born with a congenital heart defect also have another critical birth defect. Infants with congenital heart defects generally need surgery in their first year of life. Survival of infants with congenital heart defects depends on how severe the defect is, when it is diagnosed, and how it is treated. Heartfelt Dreams Foundation is striving to further the understanding of patients as well as doctors and nurses regarding the treatment and diagnosis of congenital heart defects. We are aware of efforts around the country to educate the community and medical professionals on the proper care of this birth defect population. We believe that our Foundation’s vision is to support specific initiatives while advancing the overall understanding of congenital heart defects and in that way enhance the overall quality of healthcare.
