About Our Advanced ACHD Fellows Grant

Heartfelt Dreams Foundation is pleased to be able to provide financial assistance to very deserving advanced adult congenital heart defect fellows as they pursue training in cardiovascular medicine to better care for ACHD patients. Through decades of medical and surgical treatment of Lori Ankerud’s tetralogy of Fallot condition, specialized cardiologists have played a critical role in her care and treatment. From persevering to find her blood pressure to gaining an understanding of her complex heart condition, we appreciate what advanced ACHD fellows can do to make a patient’s life better. Heartfelt Dreams Foundation will proudly work to increase access to quality healthcare for congenital heart defect patients by promoting professional development of these doctors through recognition and financial grants.

Advanced ACHD Fellows Grant

Heartfelt Dreams Foundation understands that a medical school education takes time, money, and commitment. We believe that our grant recipients will be making a genuine difference in the delivery of quality healthcare for congenital heart defect patients. The Heartfelt Dreams Foundation Advanced ACHD Fellows Grant was created to further the development of specialized cardiologists in hospitals throughout the country with financial grants that will support the applicants’ goals to advance their careers in medical practice and as academic thought leaders.

Financial Support

Thanks to the generous charitable donations from people and organizations that support Heartfelt Dreams Foundation, our goal is to award this annual grant as we strive to promote quality specialized care and treatment for congenital heart defect patients. We hope that you will consider supporting our Foundation’s fellowship grants.

Application Process

Each academic year, Heartfelt Dreams Foundation will award a $5,000 grant to a deserving hospital-based advanced ACHD fellow based on a competitive application process. Advanced ACHD fellows wishing to apply for the Heartfelt Dreams Foundation Advanced ACHD Fellows Grant are invited to complete the Application Form below, and include a current version of your resume, before the posted deadline. Applications will be reviewed by a Foundation committee and the grant winner will be announced on our website.

Please note that applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Advanced ACHD Fellows Grant through August 30. The grant winner will be announced in September 2024.
